Foundation Design Studio was born of a love of foundational spaces and materials in the home - think bathroom updates, kitchens, laundry/mud rooms and fun powder room transformations.

I have always been passionate about architectural detail (you’ve never seen someone more excited about antique door knobs in the wild) and my 20 years in Chicago only amplified my appreciation for great design. In residential interiors, it’s the tile, hardware, millwork, plumbing and lighting fixtures that I gravitate towards. Looking for help with pillows and accessories? I might not be your girl, but am always up for discussing design-related questions.

My combined experience in corporate interiors and graphic design give me an edge in solving spatial issues and my goal is to strike a balance between beautiful and practical solutions for the way clients use their space. I lean heavily toward modern interiors, but most enjoy connecting with people and what makes them tick, so style is never fixed. Walking through a space, understanding how it’s used, and learning about what’s important to the people that live in it are what matter most.
